Sunday 28th June saw our 'PacerFest' event, with 142055 operating, and a vintage shuttle bus running between Gobowen, Oswestry & Llynclys, a great day was had with plenty of visitors and good weather too!. 

Saturday 30th May was quite a productive day, we managed to complete all the foam tubing on the Poly tunnel, and with thanks to the volunteers we had foliage added to the platform gardens.

16th May was quite a productive day for the volunteers, more of the foam was installed on the Polytunnel, a new sign was installed for the disabled access route, our volunteer Neil was busy giving the Pacer unit a good clean inside, we made a start on developing our Memorial Garden, and finally the Flower bed had foliage added with thanks to our volunteer Helen. 

12th May the first of two Sleeper Flower Beds has been installed with thanks to Ian Payne & the Team, we will soon fill these with foliage bringing some colour to the platform.

Saturday 2nd May saw more work being done on the Polytunnel shed, the frame work was completed and foam protection added. 

Saturday 2nd May saw 142055 in operation, today went well with plenty of trips up and down the line through the warm Shropshire Countryside.

Saturday 25th April saw our Volunteer Mick 'Chopper' Love who gave some kerb appeal to the Llynclys sign and the new recently installed fencing in CHR colours.

Sat 4th April was the first day operating in the 2026 Season, we had a good day, weather was kind, a nice flow of visitors and 142055 made the day!

Sat 21st March saw volunteers busy, finishing off painting jobs, The RMB Public seating area was cleaned, and both saloons of the Pacer unit had a deep clean. 

Ground works took place Sat 14th March with removing the Coal Bunker that is being relocated to Oswestry, and a new pole and wire fence erected.

Saturday 7th March our volunteering day was quite a productive day with getting the Buffet / Shop ready for the new 2026 Season

Saturday 21st February saw a working party of volunteers doing Lineside vegetation clearing ready for the Summer Season, a great day by all who attended, not forgetting the well deserved Ham & Cheese Toasties Thanks to Vicky & Helen. 

We are delighted that Helen Hill & Andy Kettle have both recently passed their Food Safety hygiene Course, this is part of preparing for our new Buffet service at Llynclys Railway Centre.

More painting caried out today in the Buffet Room with the heritage Green
A new Buffet Sign has been made ready for the 2026 Season, also the Gents sign has had a coat of paint and hanging back up.

Some of the volunteers on Saturday 13th Dec 25 worked to put a tarpaulin cover over Syphon G van W1019 to prevent more weather damage until renovation work begins.

Volunteers have been restoring an ex railway Portacabin to be used for storage, the ceiling has been cleared and Tarpaulin over the roof until we can replace the roof entirely. 

Renovation work now underway in the Buffet Room giving a much needed coat of paint. 

Some work has taken place today renovating the roof on the RMB coach in the platform, old Bitumen has been scraped off ready for a fresh coat of Bitumen to be applied.
